“Rebuttoned” is a collaboration with GREENIES, an eco-conscious social enterprise in Hong Kong. Creation inspired by everyday life, aimed at preserving and extending the warm memories carried by old clothing. When clothes can no longer be worn due to damage, size issues, or being outdated, they are often forgotten or discarded. However, these garments have shared many important moments with us and hold precious stories and memories. 

This project offers a new way to not only preserve these memories but also extend them in a different form. Through this work, the audience can remove the buttons from their cherished old clothes and, using the included sewing kit, sew the buttons onto a brass pin to continue wearing them. These memories will live on through the pin, giving new life to old items. It’s not just a simple and meaningful method, but also an easy step toward practicing sustainable living.
