Achievement Unlocked is an ongoing research-driven jewelry project that explores migration through the lens of everyday resilience. Developed through oral history interviews with members of the Hong Kong diaspora, the project examines how ordinary acts of adaptation shape personal identity and collective memory.

At the center of the project are cloisonné badges inspired by the visual language of merit awards. Each badge encapsulates the life story of a participant, commemorating an everyday achievement that often goes unrecognized, whether rebuilding a career, learning a new language, establishing a new home, or maintaining cultural identity across borders. Through wearable objects, personal narratives are transformed into tangible symbols of resilience, recognition, and belonging.

Expanding through exhibitions, publications, and participatory workshops, Achievement Unlocked reconsiders jewelry as more than an object of adornment. It becomes a medium for storytelling, dialogue, and community building, inviting audiences to reflect on what constitutes an achievement and whose experiences are worthy of recognition.

As an evolving body of work, each chapter introduces new communities and new stories, allowing the project to grow as a living archive of migration and everyday resilience.
